Born and raised on Long Island, Abstract Art has been part of my vocabulary at a very young age. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I went on to becoming a self-taught professional Artist currently residing in New York. My first painting I did professionally was “Motley Eye” which became a series of 5 paintings.
Acrylics have been my medium since day one. While using acrylics on canvas, my style and technique can vary by the minute. Blending electrifying colors onto a blank canvas, using various painting knives, brushes, turkey basters, my fingertips, anything is possible in my studio. Abstract expressionism, action painting, and cubism are my personal favorite style of painting.
I paint spontaneously what I am feeling using bright colors, bold strokes, and emotion. My inspiration comes from life experiences, dreams, and current state of mind. I never think about what I’m going to paint, I just paint. Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Pablo Picasso and Wassily Kandinsky have been my biggest inspirations throughout my art career.
